As you probably noticed, modern yoga as it is typically practiced today is heavily influenced by steps three and four - asana and pranayama. These practices purify the mind and body and assist in the meditative effects of steps five through eight.
The yoga, as explained above is called hatha yoga. There are other forms of yoga as well, such as karma yoga and bhakti yoga, which are pathways to enlightenment through action and devotion alone.

There comes a desire to live a healthier life because that is the natural state that we should all be living in and it is a state that makes you feel good. It opens up the mind to see more opportunities and to achieve higher levels of success.

Yoga offers adults and children insight. This allows all of us to better ourselves and put past mistakes behind. We all make mistakes because we are human.
Forgiveness allows us to leave hate behind and spend our energy on more constructive pursuits, such as enjoying time with our friends or family.
This is just one more reason why the universal principles of Yoga pose no threat to any religion. Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jews, and Moslems are taught the same, or similar, moral codes. We have to forgive each other and learn to live in peace.
