Physical clutter can be handled easily. Clean up rooms that cause you anxiety to look at. An organized room is better for your mental health. Give possessions that you do not use to a reputable charity. This is also Karma yoga and a good method for creating peace of mind.
Spiritual clutter occurs when we have unfinished business. All of us come from different religions; and this is fine, but we should not wait to reconcile with family, friends, co-workers, and God.
I know a man who is an atheist, but he practices Karma yoga every day. I joke with him, and tell him, he might just get to heaven. It is not for any of us to judge each other. No religion endorses prejudice and intolerance.

Guilt is a burden, which we create, but we are not required to carry it around for life. You must forgive yourself and try your best to forgive others. When you forgive yourself, and others, you gain freedom (Samadhi). Freedom from hate will become devotion (Bhakti) to higher causes and to God.
When you give to anyone, or to any charity, channel the positive energy of giving into self-forgiveness. When you give to others, you will feel gratification and worthy of forgiveness. Maintaining the right attitude is an important part of karma yoga. It is only jobs that are liberating or binding that are considered to be karma yoga jobs. To be successful in karma yoga, you only use your hands to work as your mind is always fixed on the feet of the lord and not on the consequences or results you anticipate on completing your job.
With karma yoga, it is important that you have the right motive to your job. It is only pure motives that remain successful. Usually a person embarks on some work thinking of the fruits of the work. This maintains such a frame in the person that it is quite impossible to think of any work that has no reward. This is not followed in karma yoga as here, a job or work is fulfilled only with the intention of completing the work and not for the rewards that accompany it.
